Ancient Italian Women and Animals

Three women. Three animal spirits. Three seasons of life.

These amulets were born from research into the ancient Italic peoples who inhabited Abruzzo before Romanization, in constant dialogue with mountains, forests, wild animals, and the cycles of the Earth.

In that ancient world, the wild was not something to be dominated, but a presence to learn to coexist with.

From this research, three female figures emerged:

🐻 The Bear — youth, grounding, the silent time of growth. Guarded by dendritic agate, a stone reminiscent of roots and forests.

🐍 The Serpent — adulthood, transformation, the deep energy that can wound or heal. Linked to emerald and the memory of the Marsi people and the goddess Angizia.

🐺 The She-Wolf — full maturity, the memory of blood, a wild and conscious femininity, accompanied by garnet.

Three amulets inspired by Italic Abruzzo, its symbolic animals, and a question I feel very alive:
